Perhaps you can extract some meaning from the lines that hit home, and perhaps the poem is crap to start out with, so go find a poet you like. Sometimes, a lot of negative thoughts tend to creep in a love poem if the poet is suffering due to lost love or unfulfilled love. It clearly shows that the person sending the poem has spent a lot of time and thought for the person receiving it, rather than just purchasing a card or gift from a shop. Just like when our loved ones are at home with us and spend time in our living room.

This is a great way for those that are able to express their feelings on paper to do so and share those words to help heal the grief experienced by other family members as well. What better opportunity could there be in life to appreciate the flowing beauty of poetic words than on a wedding day.
